Orgasmic Dysfunction treatment
at the Huddersfield and Manchester Hypnotherapy Clinic
This problem is common in women. Some women have never experienced
an orgasm at any point in their lives. The inability to have an
orgasm when the woman is enjoying sexual intercourse is known
as Anorgasmia.
There are three main types of orgasmic dysfunction:
- Primary.
- Situational.
- Secondary.
The condition is referred to as 'primary' when the female has
never experienced orgasm through any means of stimulation. 'Situational'
orgasmic dysfunction is where a women has achieved orgasm in some
manner other than intercourse, through masturbation or mutual
stimulation by her partner. 'Secondary' orgasmic dysfunction is
where a woman has attained orgasm in the past but is currently
non-orgasmic.
Women who have primary orgasmic dysfunction appear to characterise
about 15% of all women. Surveys generally suggest that somewhere
between 33% to 50% of women experience orgasm infrequently and
are dissatisfied with how often they reach orgasm.
Orgasmic dysfunction occurs due to feelings of anxiety associated
with having sex but can be a consequence of medical problems such
as nutritional deficiencies, diabetes, and a decrease in vaginal
circulation.
